Letter from the Principal.
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
As we gear up for another exciting year at Sonnenberg Schools, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey from the previous school year and share my enthusiasm for the upcoming 24-25 school year adventures.
Last year was a whirlwind of positive changes — from introducing report cards to unveiling our school mascot, not to mention our first-ever field trips that brought learning to life beyond the classroom walls. We also took significant steps to strengthen our financial footing, ensuring a solid foundation to support our continued growth and initiatives.
This year, we’re continuing to kick it up a notch with exciting changes. We’ve added some essential new team members to our roster: an Occupational Therapist, a Reading Interventionist, and a Music Teacher. But that's not all. Get ready for another big change… we're introducing homework this year! I assure you, it'll be engaging, even if our students need a little convincing at first. Additionally, in the spirit of one of our key core values of collaboration, we’re establishing staff committees to brainstorm and innovate together. More teamwork, more ideas, more student success!
On a personal note, I’m excited to share that I’ll be starting the school year by welcoming a new baby to my family. Despite the chaos of a newborn (and even more so the chaos of my toddler), my dedication to advancing our school and supporting our students remains constant.
As we embark on this new school year, let's always remember to keep our four core values at the forefront: collaboration, integrity, excellence, and compassion. Let’s foster positivity, fill our halls with laughter, and make learning adventurous. My door and inbox are always open for you. Whether you’re a longtime Sonnenberg Schools parent or new to our community, I eagerly anticipate connecting with each and every one of you.
Here’s to a year filled with growth, laughter, and countless memorable moments.
Warm regards,
Amelia Fahnrich
